Apple has signed a five-year agreement with Formula 1 to become the exclusive broadcast partner for all F1 races in the United States, beginning next season. The deal brings every Grand Prix, qualifying, and Sprint session to Apple TV subscribers, expanding the company’s presence in live sports streaming.
The partnership builds on Apple’s growing connection with Formula 1 after the global success of F1 The Movie, which became the highest-grossing sports film of all time earlier this year. Both Apple and Formula 1 said the collaboration reflects a shared focus on technology and fan engagement.
Under the agreement, Apple TV will air complete live coverage of every race weekend. Select practice sessions and highlights will also be available for free through the Apple TV app. The F1 TV Premium service will continue in the U.S. as part of the Apple TV subscription and remain free for existing subscribers.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, said the partnership will deliver “premium and innovative fan-first coverage” as Formula 1 enters a new era in 2026 with updated teams,
regulations, and cars. Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali called the collaboration “a transformative step” to expand the sport’s reach in the U.S. market.
Apple will integrate Formula 1 content across its wider ecosystem, including Apple News, Maps, Music, and Fitness+. The Apple Sports app will provide live updates, standings, and widgets for every Grand Prix, along with Lock Screen Live Activities for iPhone users.
Additional details on production and new viewing features are expected in the coming months. F1 The Movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Lewis Hamilton, will make its global streaming debut on Apple TV on December 12, 2025.
