Amazon Web Services faced a large-scale disruption early Monday, affecting multiple major platforms across the U.S.

Sites like Disney+, Reddit, Snapchat, Venmo, Robinhood, and United Airlines were among those hit by the outage.

AWS reported an “operational issue” affecting several of its services and regions. Engineers worked on multiple recovery paths.

By 3 a.m. PDT, AWS confirmed global services relying on its US-EAST-1 region had recovered and normal operations were resuming.

United and Delta passengers reported check-in disruptions. Coinbase and Canva also faced connectivity problems.

Roblox, Fortnite, and AI search tool Perplexity also went offline temporarily due to the AWS outage.

A 2024 CrowdStrike update had caused global disruptions. This AWS outage again highlights tech infrastructure dependency.
