Washington — Eligible Cash App users are waiting to find out when the $12.5 million settlement will finally pay out. The class action, Bottoms v. Block Inc., was resolved earlier this year after the company agreed to compensate Washington residents who received unauthorized referral texts between November 2019 and August 2025.

According to the official settlement website, approved claims could result in payments between $88 and $147 per person, depending on the total number of valid submissions.

Payout Date

While the exact payment schedule will depend on court approval, the final hearing is currently set for December 2, 2025. Payouts are expected to be processed shortly after the court grants final approval and all appeals are resolved.

Claim Form and Application

Eligible residents must submit their claim by October 27, 2025. The official website — BottomsTextSettlement.com — provides both the online claim form and mailing instructions.

Applicants must confirm they were the primary user of the phone number that received a Cash App referral text and that they never gave prior consent. Claims can be verified through email or phone confirmation.

Eligibility and Verification

Only Washington residents who received unsolicited promotional messages from Cash App during the eligibility period qualify for compensation. Each verified claim will share a portion of the $12.5 million fund.

Those who miss the October 27 deadline will not be eligible for any payout.

Checking Claim Status

Once the filing period closes, the settlement administrator will send confirmation emails to valid claimants. Updates about claim status and payment release will be posted on the same official website.
